Intra-articular (visco-supplementation) injections of the next generation hyaluronan acid for erly treatment of degenerative changes inte joints

The visco-supplementation is an effective and practically the only way of treatment of inoperative , early degenerative changes in the joints. Here we are present the preliminary results of treatment with the next generation hyaluronic acid HYAD4. Twenty-three patients with first to third degree of joint damage, according to scale Kellgren-Lawrence, were included in this study. Two doses of hyaluronic acid (Hymovis) intra-articular were injected to the affected joint. Six weeks later the results were assessed using WOMAC scale, looking at the improvement of the joint function and reduction of the pain.
